iron fists in an elevator

As many of you know I am drawing a picture/comic every day this year. Not an easy feat to do. At least in my head it shouldn't be. I know tons of artist do it every year, but I've never done it. It is something I've always wanted to do. Here is today's picture I drew. It's from The Immortal Iron Fist comic issue five. I like the old Iron Fist working with the young Iron Fist. The old one is really cool to me. He carries guns!

no longer i

A few years ago there was a great episode of How I Met Your Mother where Ted and Marshall's favorite pizza parlor in Chicago was going out of business. So they decide to road trip to it like they did back when they were in college. The only problem was that Marshall was no longer Marshall. Marshall and Lilly were one, they morphed them together very beautiful in the episode. Pretty mush it sums up to the fact that Marshall and Lilly always have to be together. They do everything together. This is not the first time they've talked about this melding in the show. Seems silly, but I totally understand Marshall and Lilly's take on this. They are no longer "I's," they are "We's."

Over the bast year that Allison and I have been married we have slowly slipped out of "I's" too. I no longer think in I anymore. I think in We. I'm always like we are in school, but we're not in school, Allison is in school. Since we've been in Indiana it's gotten much worse too. I never want to go out without her. I'll sit at home and watch Hulu all day till she comes home. She comes home around one most days, so not to late.

When we first started dating I made jokes about us being the A.M. Like the morning, but now I feel like our name should be the am. We're not really to separate people anymore. We are one. We do everything together, well almost. She doesn't get up at two and go to work with me, but you know what I mean. I don't feel bad about it. I think it's just really funny. I never thought we would get so close as we have gotten in the last year. It's just really awesome.

monday cookies

I made cookies yesterday. They are huge. I put an oreo in the middle of the cookies. They are amazing. One cookie might kill you though. They are so rich and big. The oreo in the middle is soft like if you dunked it in milk. So good. I can barely eat a whole cookie.

early to bed

This early to bed and early to rise stuff is not all it's cracked up to be. I've been a night owl for as long as I can remember. Even in high school with early morning seminary I would stay up till midnight or later. When I was in college eleven was the earliest I would go to bed. I did all my homework after ten. I just functioned better later at night. I can actually form words and thoughts. Now, I go to bed at seven and get up at two something, just depends on when the start time is at work. I go in and move like a zombie for four to five hours. It's like Shawn of the Dead at my work. The end scene where they put the living dead to work. Everyone kind of just grunts and moans but really never says anything to each other. It's so boring and the entire time you are trying to figure out why you are there. By the time you finally figure out what you're doing it's quiting time. All the packages are in the cars and you get to go home. That is the one plus side. You go home and it's breakfast time. I love breakfast so that's a plus. You also have the whole day to just goof off, which is awesome. Like today I just sat around, watched Hulu and drew comics. It was a pretty awesome day after work. I just hate going to bed before prime time television. If I can I love to watch TV live and the only show I see live anymore is the local morning news program, which is hilarious. They are always doing something zany on that channel, either by accident or on purpose. The best is when they accidentally mess up. It just makes me laugh. So yeah, early morning sort of okay, but I miss prime time television and staying up late.

Here's my comic for today too:

another comic

This year I've decide to draw one a comic/picture for everyday of the year. You can see them all on Flickr, but here are my favorite two from the first week of 2011. I love monsters and so a monster comic made into this weeks drawing and a series of comics I love called Longneck. Longneck is a series I drew of comics for Allison's birthday last year. I've continued them with short strips. I hope you enjoy the new comics.
